WINE WEEK!
It’s time for London Wine Week again!
They’ve stopped doing the by location book and replaced it with an app. While this works when you’re on the ground, it’s not so helpful for the obsessive nerds among us who want to plan. As a result of this I have prepared!
I’ve put together a spreadsheet of where each place is and what they’re doing (in very loose terms!) to help plan my week for optimum wine consumption. I’ve not (yet) produced maps. The stand out areas appear to be around Spitalfields (as always) and a great run from the new hub location in Flat Iron Square, through Borough Market and along Shad Thames into Bermondsey (so, right by work then…). Fitzrovia seems a little weaker this year, but that’s possibly because of my strong bias towards the flights rather than the “sip and snack” deals.
The spreadsheet version can be found here. If anyone has any comments or wants to be able to edit it, let me know!
London Wine Week 2018 is running from the 14th-20th of May. Tickets from Drinkup London give you access to (at time of publishing) 117 bars and restaurants around London serving £5 wine flights and “sip and snack” special offers.
